Crunchy Cut Cakes


Ingredients:

Maida  flour - 1cup

Egg - 1no

Cardamom - 2no

Powdered sugar - 1/2 cup

Vanilla essence - 1/2tsp

Baking powder - a pinch

Oil - to fry

Preparation:

1)In a bowl, add maida, egg, powdered sugar, vanilla essence and powdered cardamom. Mix them well and make a dough

2)Close the dough with lid for 15mins

3)After 15mins make small balls and spread them round(not too thick nor thin) Then make any shapes  

4)Heat a kadai, add oil deep fry the shapes.

Note: cake should be crunchy, not to be fried dark brown then it will become hard

Butter Cake and Merry Christmas!!


Ingredients:

Butter - 50g

All purpose flour - 1 cup

Milk - 1/2 cup

Baking powder - 1/2 tsp

Powdered sugar - 1/2 cup

Egg - 1 no

Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp

Preparation:

Beat the butter nicely and make it smooth (please have it in room temp before beating)

To it add egg, vanilla essence, sugar, baking powder, milk ( all items at room temp)

Add flour to it and mix it into a smooth batter

Pre heat the oven for 15minutes at 150 C.

Pour the batter in a tray and heat the tray for 30 minutes.

The cake is ready to be served.

Coconut Cookies And Gift


Ingredients:

All purpose Flour - 1 cup

Baking Powder - 1  pinch

Coconut Powder - 1/2 cup

Salt - to taste 

Sugar powdered- 1/4 cup

Butter - 25gms (beat well)

Honey - 1  tsp

Water/Milk - 3 tsp

Vanilla - 1 tsp


Preparation:

Beat the butter nicely and make it smooth

To it add vanilla,honey,salt, sugar, baking powder, coconut powder and water/milk

Add flour to it and mix it into a smooth dough.

Pre heat the oven for 10 minutes at 150 C.

Make round balls of the dough and flatten it on a butter paper and place it in the oven.

Heat the dough for 15 minutes and the cookies is ready to serve.

Prawn Fry


Ingredients:

Prawns - 500 gms

Onion - 2 nos

Tomato - 2 nos

Green chilly - 2 nos 

Fennel seeds - 1 tsp

Ginger Garlic paste - 2tsp

Turmeric powder - 1 tsp

Chilly powder - 1 tsp

Coriander powder - 1 1/2 tsp

Salt - to taste

Oil - 4tsp

Curry & coriander leaves - as required

Preparation:

1)Boil the prawn prawn for 10 minutes with turmeric powder and salt to taste.

2)Heat a kadai, add  oil, fennel seeds, then add onion saute till the onion is transparent in colour,  and next add ginger garlic paste and green chillies fry them till raw smell goes well

3)Then add tomatoes, salt and turmeric powder fry well till the raw smell goes.

4)Add red chilly powder and coriander powder stir well and add prawns..close the lid

5)Fry prawns till the oil separates

6) Finally garnish with curry & coriander leaves

Peas Rice


Ingredients:

Frozen Peas - 1cup

Boiled Rice - 2cups

Onion chopped - 2nos

Tomato Chopped - 2nos

Green chilly - 3nos

Ginger Garlic paste - 1tsp

Cloves = 2nos

Patta - 1 medium size

Fennel seeds - 1/2tsp

Oil - 3tsp

Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

Salt - to taste

Preparation:

1)Heat a kadai, add oil, fennel seeds, cloves and patta saute them and  then add chopped onions fry till it turns transparent

2)Add Tomatoes, tumerice powder, green chillies and salt mix them and close the lid...cook till oil separates

3)Then add peas and again close the lid. After peas cooks well, finally add boiled rice and mix them evenly and adjust salt.

Peas rice is ready to serve.

Freezed Banana Milk Shake


Ingredients:

Boiled Milk/Pasteurised milk - 1 glass

Banana - 2 nos

Cashwnets - 4 to 5 nos

Sugar - 1/2 cup

Preparation:

1)Boil the milk, cool it and keep in the freezer for 1 hour

2)Take out the freezed milk, grind it  with banana, cashwnets and sugar

Freezed banana  milk shake is ready to serve

Tandoori chicken


Ingredients:

Chicken leg - 3 or 4 pieces

Kashmiri chilly powder - 3tsp

Cloves - 2nos

Cardomam - 2nos

Patta -1 medium piece

Coriander seeds - 2tsp

Ginger  - small piece 

garlic - 4 to 5 flakes

Thick curd - 2tsp

Oil - 3tsp

Preparation:

1) Wash the chicken legs and grind kashmiri chilly powder,ginger garlic, cloves, patta, coriander seeds, cardomam into fine paste

2) add grinded paste, curd and oil to chicken legs and Marinate them for 4 to 5 hour in refridgerator

3)Remove the marinated chicken from refridgerator and bring it to the room temperature.Preheat the oven for 15mins at 250'C, then place marinated chicken in the rod and cook them for 25 -35mins.

Hot tandoori chicken is ready to serve with biryani/fried rice. This is supposed to  be one of india's delicious food item.

Curd Rice


Ingredients:

Boiled rice - 2cups

Curd - 1/2cup

Gatted Carrot - 1/2 cup 

Mustard seeds - 1tsp

Urad dal - 1tsp

Bengalgram dal = 1tsp

Curry & coriander leaves

Hing = 1/2tsp

Salt - to taste

Oil - 2tsp

Preparation:

1)Boil the rice and finely smash them and keep aside

2)Heat a kadai, add oil,mustardafter it splutters, add urad, bengalgram dal,curry leaves, hing,salt and add gratted carrot, off the flame

3)Finally add curd, saute them well and add it to the rice and mix them 

4)Garnish with coriander leaves

Toor Dal Dosa



Ingredients:

Tiffin rice/Raw rice - 1cup

Toor dal - 1/4 cup

Urad dal - 1/4 cup

Fenugreek - 1tsp

Oil - for sprinkle

Salt - to taste

Preparation:

1)Wash the rice, toor dal, urad dal and fenugreek and soak in water for 3 to 4 hours

2)Then grind them finely in mixer or grinder...keep batter over night for seasoning

3)Next day add salt and mix them well...Heat a tawa, pour the batter and spread them roundly

4)Sprinkle oil and heat both sides for 2mins

Serve toor dal dosa with coconut chutney, its a delicious food to eat.
