Plantain flower fritters/ Vazhapoo vada


Ingredients:

Plantain flower - 1cup

Chenna dal - 1cup

Chopped onion - 1no

Green chilly - 2nos

Curry & coriander leaves - few no

Hing - 1/2tsp

Garlic - 2-3flakes(optional)

Salt - to taste

Oil - to fry

Preparation:

1) Soak the chenna dal in water for 1/2hr and then grind them coarsely.

2) Add plantain flower, green chilly, curry & coriander leaves, garlic, salt, hing and chopped onions into mixture.

3)Make the mixture into small patties

4)Heat a kadai, add required amount of oil..deep fry the patties till brown. 

Serve hot with tomato sauce

Yummy fritters, thanks for sharing..I have never had vada with vazhapoo..My mother used to make cutlets with it..
